Tom House Sports to Implement Nextiles Arm Sleeve and Newly Launched Efficiency Metric to Optimize Arm Health for Athletes Nationwide
New York, May 13, 2024 – Nextiles, the leader in smart fabric technology for coaches and athletes, today announced a partnership with Tom House Sports and National Pitching, one of the leading baseball biomechanics programs in the country.
Nextiles will provide Arm Sleeves to athletes through an affiliate partnership with National Pitching. All athletes who purchase a Nextiles Arm Sleeve will receive complimentary access to the Nextiles App to monitor arm stress in real-time.
National Pitching athletes will be the first to adopt the newly launched Efficiency metric as a way to measure pitching mechanics and overall arm stress. This Efficiency metric is calculated as the ratio of maximum arm velocity achieved (MPH) divided by the peak torque (N m) for each throw.
“We’re excited to partner with Nextiles and implement its Arm Sleeve to further enhance our throwing programs and clinics nationwide,” said Dean Doxakis, VP of Tom House Sports and National Pitching’s lead performance coach. “We tested and validated the Arm Sleeve which proved to be the most effective baseball wearable for our athletes to monitor torque in real-time. We’re excited to leverage the new Efficiency metric which will help our athletes and coaches understand throwing efficiencies and stress levels. The Nextiles Mobile and Web Apps will help us scale this offering nationwide.``
